Repression by the authorities fails to muzzle free media!
Arrests, pressure, fines and financial constraints imposed daily by the government, which is expanding its repressive measures every day, are not succeeding in silencing the opposition media. We celebrate the birth of new “voices” that we invite you to listen to and support.
Mismine (Ge)
Over the past few months, Mismine (transl. “Listen to me!”), a YouTube channel and new source of oppositional information, has appeared in the tormented Georgian media landscape.
Mismine deals with a variety of themes: politics, society, history, humor, etc., exploring the subject in depth and comparing the perspectives of the various participants. The channel is remarkable both for the quality of its participants and its hosts. The hosts are sometimes journalists, sometimes historians, sometimes specialists in politics or international relations, with points of view and analyses no less interesting than those of their guests.

Independance avenue media (En, Ge)
Ira Meurmishvili, the former editor-in-chief of the Georgian desk at Voice of America, has just launched Indépendance Avenue, a new media outlet based in Washington, D.C., for which she serves as editor-in-chief.
Independence Avenue Media (IAM) is an independent international journalism initiative committed to fact-based reporting that explains U.S. society, foreign policy and democratic values to global audiences – especially in regions shaped by authoritarian influence and democratic fragility.
IAM was founded to fill the gap left by the weakening of trusted international broadcasters. IAM offers audiences more than just headlines – it provides essential context, connecting local realities to global conversations.
