Most Georgians suspected, and recent revelations concerning Bidzina Ivanishvili’s entourage confirm it, that corruption is rotting the power of the Georgian Dream. Irakli Garibashvili, a former Prime Minister, Grigol Liluashvili, former head of security services, the former General Prosecutor, and eight other close associates of Ivanishvili were searched. Seven million dollars in cash, jewelry, valuable watches, and paintings were seized, along with 50 telephones and computers… All independent observers indicate that these close associates of Ivanishvili, appointed, and for some several times, by him, are victims of an internal “purge” in power. When will it be the turn of Irakli Kobakhidze, direct successor of Garibashvili?
